We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Construction Supervisor to join our team and contribute to our exciting projects.
Key Responsibilities
MANAGEMENT

Oversee and direct construction throughout the project.

Understand and interpret construction drawings and put that information into practice.

Communicate accurate information with management.

Oversee and be involved with onsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.

Manage the workday start and end.

To participate in onsite and office meetings with other project stakeholders or Management.

Liaise with clients and neighbours to maintain good relations between all stakeholders.

Assist the Construction Manager in producing monthly construction reports.

Meet contractual conditions of performance.

Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.

Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Communicate with the Construction Manager to ensure materials, tools and labour are organised efficiently.
SITE SAFETY AND PRACTICES

Ensure safe working practices are adhered to in line with the company rules and procedures and HSE guidelines.

Coordinate and direct company operatives and external subcontractors.
-
Select suitable tools, materials and equipment and track inventory.

Dispense First Aid and/or arrange attendance by medical staff in the event of injury.
-
Analyse, manage and mitigate risks to the project and personnel.

Administer site safety inductions for all operatives and visitors to the construction site and ensure correctly signed paperwork.

Set positive examples of uniform, dress code and PPE at all times.
Requirements
- Demonstratable experience in a similar construction management role
- A thorough understanding of the UK Building Regulations
- CSCS Black Card
- Full clean driving licence
Desirable
- NVQ 6/7 in Construction Management
- SMSTS/SSSTS certified
- First Aid at Work qualified
- Experience with Microsft 365 software

As our Construction Supervisor, you are responsible for keeping your construction project running smoothly. You do so by monitoring the progress onsite and ensuring that you are available at all times to organise efficiently and convey queries to the Construction Manager. You may need to decide what information should be recorded or shared with other colleagues within the business and externally.
